1.1 Sian Gwenllian AM was appointed as temporary Chair for the meeting, and for the following meeting on 22 November.
2.1 Apologies were received from Bethan Jenkins, Dawn Bowden, Neil Hamilton, Jeremy Miles and Hannah Blythyn. Joyce Watson and Mick Antoniw attended as substitutes.
3.1 The Cabinet Secretary responded to questions from Members of the Committee.
3.2 The Cabinet Secretary agreed to provide a breakdown, by a local authority area, of the numbers of schools (and pupils) that have participated in the Creative Learning through the Arts programme.
4.1 The Minister responded to questions from Members of the Committee.
4.2 The Minister agreed to:
Ø Provide a note on how the £100,000 designated for the implementation of the recommendations of the local museums services review will be distributed;
Ø Share the skills partnership agreement made with ‘English Heritage, Historic Scotland and the construction body for the UK’;
Ø Provide a note on whether there are any existing hyper local news businesses currently being funded through Business Wales, how that funding is allocated, the amount of funding and what it is being used for.
5.1 The Minister responded to questions from Members of the Committee.
5.2 The Minister agreed to provide a breakdown of the proposed £3.9 million for the Welsh Language budget expenditure line (BEL).
6.1 Committee Members noted the papers.
7.1 The motion was agreed.
